Hello Zebediah,

I have upgraded my system this morning to kernel 4.14.12 and wine to version
3.0-rc5 and the game works again, as long as I install it in ~/.wine.

Unfortunately for you, using WINEDEBUG=-all,+ole or WINEDEBUG=-all,+globalmem
to log the activity of the game makes it crash on startup.

I am still uploading the logs in case they contain anything interesting.
