What means that?

Don't use third party wine. Use plain wine. Do not install in a ntfs partition 
If you create your own wineprefix, you have a .wine folder. Install the game
there. And then change the directory completely.
cd .wine/drive_c/Program Files (x86)/DreamCatcher/PainkillerMultiplayerDemo/Bin

wine Painkiller.exe

That works.
