It looks like this bug has evolved, I did some testing with both installers.

The SkySaga installer now hangs and runs into Bug 34989

I applied patch from that bug ** and then the installer succeeds.

The other installer runs into a different bug (crashwindow) for which I`ll
attach a patch to at least let it install
