There are going to be some Windows apps that use forward slash paths for
programming convenience or maybe because mac programmers were doing a Windows
port or whatever.

Windows path routines can mostly handle forward slash paths from what I've read
and the few things I've tested (GetVolumePathName).

I don't know enough about what Wine is set up for regarding forward slash
paths.

I would think that Wine should cover the forward slash path possibility and
therefore avoid compatibility problems such as this Native Access one.
