I also have this issue, running gnome in an xorg session.

It seems it’s getting the mouse speed scalar from the desktop applied. There is
no acceleration so long as I set the profile to “flat” in gnome tweaks.

I’d be happy to give logs or anything that could help fix this, it’s very
annoying.
