For what you say, MSI installation actually works.
And also I'm currently running it with Win7 and don't have any problem. (+
Lutris)

When you first install the game, you must disable "Massive Download" in
launcher settings. By default, that will download the full LZMA file of
Warframe and decompress it, but because of unknown reasons, at some point of
download the launcher will say that "download is corrupted", so this is
failing.

You can keep the "Agressive Download" to download multiple files at once,
instead of one by one and this still will be fast, and works.
