The current version of the unofficial Grayface patch is 2.1 and this version is
free from the problem. The game switches between display modes correctly.
I'm closing this bug as abandoned although the crash is still present with the
2.0 patch. I can't decide whether it is a bug in Wine or there was a problem
with the previous versions of the patch.

Tested in wine-3.16-167-g42929b75fc.
