many website downloads require parameter/auth tokens or have indirect
links/dynamic link generation, hence you need to trigger the archival process
manually. With larger downloads it takes some time (often reports "gateway
timed out", needs to be repeated/patience).

I use the 'Wayback Machine' plugin for FireFox which makes this a convenient
"one click" process.
