Notice the difference in non-ASCII characters encoding of the filename passed
to the functions (Sch\00c3\00b6nberg versus Sch\00f6nberg).
U+00f6 is Unicode code point and c3 b6 the utf-8 hexadecimal representation of
'ö'.

What is the content of your /etc/fstab (for the partition where the audio files
are stored)?
