Turns out that the same is true of Matchbook, `though I cannot find a pattern
as it also does not always occur. The Matchbook API also uses JSON but can also
use XML. I have no way of knowing which the application is using or if it is
using the API directly at all. A Wireshark trace is not helpful as there is a
lot of use of CDNs and the traffic is encrypted.

The application provides its own XULRunner but the config files are in XML.
