Still present in Wine-5.0-rc2 and Staging.
When a gamepad is attached and the game is configured to use that instead of
keyboard and mouse, then I can get past the "Press any key to continue" screen.

Some rawinput patch from Proton does fix the problem when only mouse+keyboard
is used.
