Hmm, well, it was worth a try at least.

I would not expect so, not if you're using native .NET. (Does builtin .NET run
into the same problem? or fail earlier?)

Can you please attach a log with WINEDEBUG=+ole,+rpc,+seh,+pid,+msi,+msiexec?
