Sorry for the late answer.

I don't have the source of the DLL which connects to the HID device.

To get rid off this error:
0009:err:winediag:SECUR32_initNTLMSP ntlm_auth was not found or is outdated.
Make sure that ntlm_auth >= 3.0.25 is in your path. 

I installed winbind
sudo apt-get install winbind

Program is still crashing, but I got a "Program Error" window and saved the
backtrace which I added to the attachements. It this helpfull?
