Confirmed this with Proton as well - the crashes are really odd though. In both
your sample and my own, the crash isn't actually XAudio2, but another component
entirely (usually in the game exe in its own thread, not the audio thread).
Even better, it usually happens after the engine has finished processing. Best
of all, even disabling XAPO processing doesn't fix the issue!

We're looking at some kind of other memory corruption if we have other threads
crashing. Sadly Valgrind is totally happy with our current test suite so we may
have to run Valgrind on one of these programs...
