I figured an update was in order, as I noticed some new things, though I'm not
sure if they'll be of any help.

For one, there's now a

err:quartz:CheckCircularConnection Checking filtergraph returned 80040231,
something's not right!

though this is printed with both, with and without 29deae35 reverted.

Also new, I believe, is that the lines

trace:gstreamer:init_gstreamer_proc Initializing...
trace:gstreamer:init_gstreamer_proc Inititialized, version GStreamer 1.14.4.
Built with 1.14.4.

are missing when the movie works.
