i tested it with wine 4.0 a few months ago and it's broken there too. If i
remember correctly diablo 2 lod tries to load 1 of 3 libraries and they have A,
B and C in their names or something like that. it happens when battle.net menu
shows up and because wine is unable to load those weird libraries everything
crashes. For a short time it was enough to delete them but blizzard has patched
this hole.
