Maybe wine could check
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\DWN\Composition instead (according
to https://techjourney.net/disable-windows-aero-via-registry/). Enabling it by
default could maybe cause issues for programs that expect it to be fully
implemented, but having an option to enable it would at least allow programs
that expect it to be enabled, to be able to run without needing a patched wine.
