I might be incorrect, but if I remember correctly, this may be due to there
being not enough memory. The software decompression of DXT5 3D textures takes
quite a bit of space, and with Halo Online being a 32-bit executable, it
already brings us pretty close to the 32-bit memory limit.

A log should figure it out, but you may be running into the problem of lack of
memory instead of a shader problem.
