I can confirm the issue. My favorite input method, fcitx-mozc (for Japanese),
doesn't work on notepad, too. It isn't activated by switch sequence.

git bisect shows 22795243b2d21e1a667215f54c3a15634735749c is the first bad
commit.
Actually, reverting the commit, fcitx-mozc works as usual.
