I think this is something like a meta-bug.

Many of the problems reported here are also present for windows users and many
of the fixes that work for windows users also work for wine users.

This implies that the game is pretty buggy by itself, but when users fail to
start it on wine they don't realize that the bug is not a wine bug and end up
writing in here.

Probably only the problem related to login in rockstar social club is a wine
bug, since some users have managed to work around the bug using (unsupported)
dxvk. (but similar problems are still present for windows users).

I was managing to play without creating a social club account.

you should just skipping it or closing the login window (pressing esc or
something like).
