I've tested a couple of Python programming books (obviously not Chinese
Editions) from my own ebooks collection and couldn't reproduce the missing
pictures issue.

Tidbit: When testing with older Wine 3.x and 4.x releases I've encountered
other issues (crashes) - but these were already known and covered by existing
(closed) bugs.
