This patch is a revert of one checkin and partial revert of another

reverts 9fba161dfd842d6bd15d713496cacdbf2cdecf46 

partial revert 3318278bfd9c69436421e0cc33ac3be14cf96c18 (just adds kernel32
import back in)

I'm not sure if there are any implications to adding kernel32 back in as an
import of kernelbase.  But this patch does fix the issue I see with 1997 demo,
F-22 Raptor.  F-22Raptor6.exe can be downloaded from
https://archive.org/details/f-22raptor6
