I`m pretty sure this guy knows a lot more about this than I do, but on  the
other hand I`d say, don`t give up too soon. 

I tried converting some avi`s and at least parts of the program seems
functional; despite the various errorwindows that pop up it looks like it
processed some avi`s here on my computer, extracted mp3`s from it etc.

Unfortunately I don`t know much about this program and video-encoding to see if
things are done correctly; I`ll open bugreport anyway for the issue from
comment #18; Would be nice if you still could give some input about whether
which parts of the program _do_ work.
