If the question is whether the patches here can be applied upstream, I think
the answer is no, because the current solutions depend on having a customized
glibc or disabling vdso32 at a kernel level. And probably nobody will try a
different approach knowing that it will probably stop working with the 2021
changes 

For now you can run league in wine 5.11 and 5.10 with the patches at Bug 49412
and wine 5.6 through 5.9 with the alternative patches here.
