I see. The counted array case was added (VT_VECTOR) with all element types,
including VT_CLSID but not scalar. If OP claims the app works now then
something else was fixed and the guess in comment #6 was incorrect.

Unfortunately I can't find any Solid Edge v15 download "backup" to check.
Refining fields again.
