2. Adobe Digital Editions is freely available from the vendor website.
The current available version is 4.5.11, though.
Is the issue reproducible with that version?

Please provide sha1sum or sha256sum of the file for comparison.

I'm putting the URL to the first occurrence of the 4.5.2 download.

3. Backtraces are usually not helpful.
Please attach a normal (=without WINEDEBUG) terminal output.

What was the previous version before the update? 5.7-1/5.7-2 or <=5.6?

5. When the same version of the application used to work and still works with
previous Wine versions, it is a regression.
→ Adding regression keyword.

Performing a regression test would help speed up things for the wine
developers.
