The Construction Set Extender script editor for TES 4 Oblivion (which uses
AvalonEdit) also seems to be affected, though it is a .NET 4.5.2 app (I think?,
there doesn't seem to be a version requirement). It crashes with this error

which seems consistent with this bug

The workaround that Anastasius Focht introduced seems to work
