A _lot_ of msvcr* has been rewritten in the past ten years, so it would not
surprise me if we have fixed whatever this was.  It definitely didn't work when
I tested before though, what was your test configuration (see below)?

2012 Status:
Windows <-> Windows = Working†
Linux <-> Linux = Working†
Linux <-> Windows = Broken

† Within the bounds of the game being buggy.
