App launches without error but still doesn't start properly

I've attempted to try this again with Wine Staging 5.21:

It doesn't throw the assertion error anymore on launch but it gets stuck in an
initialization stage and doesn't proceed past this, as far as I can tell.
(I've been sitting here for a good while and this isn't supposed to take very
long at all.)
