Bug still occurs with wine-5.16. But good news, the patch
https://github.com/wine-compholio/wine-staging/blob/master/patches/ddraw-Device_Caps/0002-ddraw-Set-dwZBufferBitDepth-in-ddraw7_GetCaps.patch

fixes the issue. The games still does not work, but it is then an already
reported  bug in amstream (bug 29926).
