I've observed similar issue (maybe the same).
I'm World Of Tanks player and I use Aslain ods from the following url:
https://wgmods.net/46/
Direct link to the problematic exe file.

When I try to run the above exe file with Wine 6.6 I'm getting a lot of the
following errors and finally the installer doesn't start:

I'm using openSUSE Thumbleweed. I'm sure that a previous version we had in the
repository worked fine - no errors, the installer was running.

I've checked if it works with version 6.5, so I've downloaded 6.5 from
https://www.playonlinux.com/wine/binaries/phoenicis/upstream-linux-amd64/PlayOnLinux-wine-6.5-upstream-linux-amd64.tar.gz
and it works.
