I never saw this 'non-zero exit status' in Rgui.exe or R.exe

This is the screen output from R

I don't need it, but that's the screen output I got from R. In an attempt to
fix this issue I installed Cygwin.

Yes, exactly the same. Make sure you use the 64-bit version in the
.wine/drive_c/Program Files/R/R-4.0.5/bin/x64/ directory, since Catboost
requires 64-bit
