It's not implemented within our project. In all likelihood the bug is in Nine.

Proton in general makes modifications to Wine and its runtime environment that
can cause bugs to appear. It also is a separate project, with its own support
channels; please use them instead of reporting bugs here.

At this point the prudent thing to do is probably to report the bug to Nine.
That said, it will also be prudent to test "ninewinecfg -e" in a clean wine
prefix and with upstream wine, i.e. don't get proton involved.
