This turned out to be caused by some obscure kernel configuration option (I'm
using a custom kernel on Arch). The stock Arch Linux kernel doesn't have this
bug.
In any case it is interesting that the problem didn't occur when I compiled
Staging without the ntdll_CriticalSection patch.
Marking as invalid.
