I checked 6.23 right now and the printers still don't get detected.

I had the time now to do some further investigations and after installing
everything on a second machine with the same printer configuration, the
printers on that machine got loaded. 

So after comparing everything print related it turned out, that lib32-libcup
package is required since 6.21. After adding this packaged printers are working
with 6.23.

I change the state to resolved/worksforme as its some sort of external fix and
I don't see, why it worked until 6.16 without that package.
