Thank you Rémi for the detailed analysis and patches! It seems like there were
some remaining issues with your patchset and progress on it stalled last year?

Do you think the patches are an improvement over the patches in wine-staging?
I'm using Proton 6.3 (and the patchset in -staging seems to be the same as in
6.3) and the behavior you list as "4)" is mildly annoying, because my favorite
Windows application (Zusi 3) spams "SetForegroundWindow" calls while loading
scenarios, which can take a long time. It's also impossible to resize the
window during that time.

So if I forget to resize the window to a small size before loading a level,
it's impossible to use other applications for some time, while on Windows these
SetForegroundWindow calls are ignored after switching to a different window.

Is there some issue with the 2020 patchset that would prevent it from being
included in wine-staging? If it fixes some of the issues of the older
(currently staged) patchset and there's a chance to update that old patchset in
-staging with the 2020 patches, I'd like to test (and possibly rebase) the new
patches, hoping to have them "staged" eventually if it fixes that mildly
annoying behavior "4)".
