Thanks for the note. I had missed this.
However I had only tried vulkan renderer as a way to work around bug 50093
which is performance related.
Should I close this bug or set its importance as an improvement?

Bug 50311 is not related to vulkan renderer, so here we are off-topic.
However at this point it doesn't matter that it blocks the testing of this bug,
but that it prevents me from running the game in a clean prefix and I just
can't get my head around that. :-\
