this was fixed a long time ago by commit
https://source.winehq.org/git/wine.git/commitdiff/61c18632b84e97918b13bebfc0b9dbbd4adb7a2a
("oleaut32: Fix automatic value getting in ITypeInfo::Invoke.").

Part of Wine 2.21 release.

Revising summary since the original bug has been unfortunately recycled for
multiple issues, turning this into a "make app x work" type meta-bug.
