Likely this bug no longer present, as Wine 6.9, can install and launch
SolidWorks 2016. Some winetricks verbs are required, as mentioned in the tests.

Some minor problems remain, but with a little attention from Wine development
it probably could become a gold-rated 64-bit application.

SolidWorks and its user-base has always been windows-only, and likely will be
for the forseeable future. Being able to run Solidworks on Linux without an
emulator is something folks have discussed for years, and it would be a huge
win for Wine.

Another major advantage with Wine would be to install legacy versions of
Solidworks each in a unique wineprefix. Currently, SolidWorks enforces a
one-way file versioning scheme-- there is no way to save data in older
versions, forcing the entire user base to upgrade at the same time. Being able
to run multiple legacy versions on Wine would eliminate this problem that many
complain about.
