Sorry to resurrect this old thread. You all just just ignore me. Turns out my
issue was because I was running Steam as a Flatpak and not a native client, so
even though my certificates were imported they weren't being recognized by the
contained Flatpack environment. Perhaps that will help someone else applying
this fix in the future. Will have to think twice about using Flatpaks now.
