Problem occurs when using MariaDB's PPA to install newer version of MariaDB as
the PPA provides a newer version of mysql-common, but only amd64 versions, no
i386.

Downgrading mysql-common resolves the conflict:
sudo apt-get install mysql-common=5.8+1.0.5ubuntu2

Still, question is:
Why is libsane a depend and not a recommend anymore?
Would it be possible to revert libsane back to a recommend?
