My guess is that the regression is triggered by an upstream commit, probably
something in win32u. Probably it's also fixed by a subsequent upstream commit.
If things work with 7.7, though, and continue to work, I'm not sure it's worth
spending effort on, not when the relevant wine-staging patches are of
questionable correctness.
