It seems it also occurs with the Arch repo Wine for me, as well

And switch to nouveau would be quite difficult for me; aside from general
nouveau suffering on HiDPI screens, it needs certain kernel settings that my
kernel just isn't equipped with.

I could try installing a vanilla kernel and switching drivers, but considering
nouveau's less than stellar record (and my personal experience) for stability
and frame-pacing doesn't give me much hope for doing anything beyond rendering
a desktop...
