[Bug 19433] Command & Conquer Generals network fails mid-game (mismatch in synchronization data)

I'm not able to get the game to launch. But I think it's something I'm doing
wrong, just don't know what it is.
It shows the splash screen then: Runtime error!
Program Z:\games\CNC\game.dat abnormal program termination. Press OK to exit
the program....
I'm using the same wine prefix as when it was working.
$ wine --version
wine-7.0-rc5

Is there a Proton version that uses "wine-7.0-rc5" I think I will be able to
get that working. I can just add it to Steam/compatibilitytools.d and let Steam
handle the rest.
