Makes sense, thanks. I can appreciate the architectural improvement of the
win32 build, but am still a bit sad to have effectively wasted my yearly open
source time budget on chasing after this. Adding the info that this is a
functional downgrade to the commit message might have helped to direct me
towards something more productive.
