Using no-cd is like cheating, and it was already confirmed to work. 
IF there even is a problem here, it's because of the DRM.

And after another run of googling, I'm really wondering if this is actually
unwanted behaviour. 
"Something's wrong in ~df394b.tmp" (the decrypted safedisc executable AFAICT)
is an error that could also happen in Windows under whatever set of unknown
circumstances. 
If nobody can *at least* reproduce them, I'm afraid there cannot be much else
to do here.
