I tried deleting all my prefixes for all games and the one in my home directory
and it just would not work. However, when I launched from a different user, it
worked perfectly so I think the error was on my end somehow. I resolved this by
making a new home for my user and starting again. This isn't a fix for those
with a similar problem as I have no idea what could have caused it but maybe
this info will help in narrowing down the problem if others have this issue.
