Then what information should be provided to make this ticket relevant?

This might just be user-misconception, but the issue was reported because it's
an installer and doesn't run out of the box? Is that alone not a reason to have
it?

Mono compatibility with .NET programs is pretty confusing, much less not
knowing the exact .NET versioning required otherwise, for the average user.

It was my intention to assist doing whatever I can in getting to the bottom of
it, not be a hindrance or annoyance.
