Not critical. In the future, please test using stable/development wine
(currently 7.0/7.12) and include a download link, if available.
Confirming, using Xerox GlobalView 2.1 (from
https://winworldpc.com/product/xerox-globalview/21-for-windows):
$ sha256sum Xerox\ Globalview\ 2.1.7z
35363dc76e979a827d279531567234ff8831909b26ad650f0bd18f2535392e06 Xerox
Globalview 2.1.7z
$ du -sh Xerox\ Globalview\ 2.1.7z
56M Xerox Globalview 2.1.7z
Accepting all defaults through the install, then running C:\GVWIN\GVWIN.EXE, I
get the same error as OP (even after setting winver=win98 or winver=win31).
