The windows 8 iso. 
You are just basically setting dsound to native. 
Winetricks not helping is odd, but maybe it has something to do with the fact
it just installs an XP-presuming dll. 

If tinkering with A3DAPI has any effect, my guess is this has something to do
with directsound 3d/hardware buffers. It may have been "improved" as of lately,
if that's the case duplicate of bug 40898.
